Figures during the year,
not after it.

A set of accounts arriving nine months after the year end tells you about a business that no longer exists. Monthly figures are the only kind that change a decision while you can still make one.

How we work

A Somerset practice, clear about scope

GG Accountancy Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 12252175, incorporated in October 2019, with its registered office at Ceadda House St. Chads Avenue, Midsomer Norton, Radstock BA3 2HG.

We keep books and run payroll. We are supervised for anti-money laundering purposes, which is a legal requirement for bookkeeping businesses — ask us for the details, and ask anyone you are considering. We are not registered auditors, nothing we prepare carries assurance, and we are not FCA authorised so we give no investment or pension advice. Your tax filings and payments remain legally yours.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Do I still need an accountant?

Often yes, for year-end accounts and tax returns. We keep the records current so that work is quicker and cheaper, and we will hand everything over in a usable state.

My books are a year behind. Is that a problem?

Common, and fixable. Catch-up is quoted separately after we have looked, because anyone pricing it unseen is guessing.

Can you give my bank reviewed accounts?

No. That needs a registered auditor or an accountancy firm providing assurance. We prepare the underlying records for them to work from.

Is flat rate VAT still right for me?

Worth checking annually. It often stops being worthwhile as a business grows, and almost nobody revisits the decision once it is made.

Do you handle CIS?

Yes — verification, correct deduction rates, monthly returns and statements. It is where trades most often get caught out.

Which software do you use?

Whatever you already use, within reason. If you are on paper and MTD applies, we will explain exactly what has to change.

Behind on the books?

A free first meeting, and an honest quote for catching up. No obligation.
